In recent political posts, I have seen Christians defend the humanitarian agenda of Bernie Sanders while withdrawing their obligation to their associated biblical faith position of being pro-life.
This exact situation reminds me of John 12, when Mary anointed Jesus by pouring expensive perfume on him days before his crucifixion. She was ridiculed by Judas, because they could have sold those perfumes to care for the poor. Jesus told Judas to leave her alone, because in that moment, she had an opportunity to serve Him, her Lord and Savior, and she did.
In this moment, who will you choose to be a defender of? Humanitarian acts? Tradition? Doctrine?
Or Jesus Christ, and the biblical Word that should stand ahead of everything else?
