So many people fear the Christian who is on fire for the Lord. In reality, it is not the person you are fearing, but the Holy Spirit. Our flesh rejects the Spirit, because it convicts us of our sin nature. The flesh does not want convictions. It does not want to turn from its nature. It does not want to walk in the Spirit. It wants to walk in sin. When our flesh isn’t crucified by the Spirit, it is alive in the enemy. If we accept ourselves or others knowingly living in sin and repeatedly rejecting the Spirit, whose family are we within?
We become brothers and sisters as children to a father named Satan.
“While He was still speaking to the people, behold, His mother and his brothers stood outside, asking to speak to Him. But He replied to the man who told Him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” Matthew 12:46-50
