A Righteous Prayer

Are we asking for His blessing in vain?

Why do we pray to God for our healing mentally, physically, and emotionally? Why do we ask God for financial gain? Why do we desire that He deliver us from our hardships?

James 4:3 says “You ask, but you don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what is given to you on your own pleasures.”

Do you want Him to heal you, so that you can serve the Kingdom? Do you ask Him for financial blessings, so that you can give to others? Do you want delivered from your hardship, so that you can deliver back to Him through your divine Purpose.

He knows our hearts; we cannot lie. We must stop acting as ungrateful, spoiled children, but as those who love and respect our Heavenly Father- He who is ABLE to do immeasurably beyond all that we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us (Ephesians 3:20).
